About the HVACR Technician Program at NETTTS
The program teaches fundamentals of refrigeration and principles of electricity, residential and commercial refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, humidifying and air cleaning, residential heat pumps, head-load calculations, and duct sizing.
The HVACR technology program offered at NETTTS balances classroom training with actual hands-on practical training and covers the skills for students to enter the industry as entry-level technicians upon completion. The program covers:
- Fundamentals of Refrigeration & Principles of Electricity
- Residential Air Conditioning/Refrigeration & Commercial Gas Heating
- Residential Oil & Gas Heating
- Pipe Fitting, Sizing, Procedures & Commercial AC/Refrigeration
By the end of the program, successful students will have practiced the following on residential and commercial HVACR units:
- Install
- Adjust
- Troubleshoot
- Maintain
- Repair
Hours and licensing requirements vary from state to state, but the training a student receives in our HVACR training program includes:
- Daytime and evening training options
- Hours toward refrigeration license
- Hours toward pipe fitter license
- Hours toward natural gas license
- Hours toward propane license
- Oil burner service training
- EPA universal license prep and exam
- Personal set of HVACR tools and equipment
- Access to at-home 3-D HVAC simulation training
Our Training May Be Right for You
Most HVACR technicians will undergo an apprenticeship that can take up to five years to complete.
This HVACR technician program is aimed at providing students with the electrical and mechanical knowledge and performance skills required of entry-level technicians.
