Class A & Class B CDL Training in Bridgeport

NETTTS offers CDL training for students interested in earning either a Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license. Both programs combine classroom learning with hands-on training to help students prepare for commercial driving.

A Class A CDL is generally required to operate combination vehicles with a gross combination weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more when the vehicle being towed weighs more than 10,000 pounds.

Class A vehicles can include tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other large combination vehicles.

At NETTTS Bridgeport, Class A training takes you from the classroom to the training yard to the open road, behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer with experienced CDL instructors guiding you every step of the way.

A Class B CDL allows drivers to operate certain single vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more. These can include straight trucks, dump trucks, box trucks, and other commercial vehicles.

Students in the Class B program receive instruction and driving practice designed to help prepare them for the CDL licensing process.

I was a nurse for 30 years and decided I wanted a job I could do more on my own; more things to play with instead of people to work on. The classroom’s intense, but being in the yard is just fantastic — putting what you learned in class into action, which was great! Everybody’s taught you something that sticks with you … they’ve all been wonderful.

Keep trying and keep working at it and you’ll get it. Just be patient with yourself, don’t be too hard on yourself and take your time.
