About the CDL Training Classes in North Andover, MA
A CDL is a special license required to become a commercial truck driver. To earn a CDL, you must complete Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) from NETTTS or another approved provider from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). During your training you will go on to take the CDL permit test, and after completing training, students can go on to take the CDL road test.
At NETTTS, our entry-level CDL driver training program provides students with knowledge on how to drive commercial vehicles safely, both with classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel experience. We offer training for two different types of CDLs:
- CDL Class A, which is required to operate combination vehicles with a gross weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more, like tractor-trailers, flatbed trucks, and tankers
- CDL Class B, which is necessary for driving single vehicles exceeding 26,000 pounds or those with a towed vehicle weighing less than 10,000 pounds, like dump trucks and box trucks

“Keep an open mind and bring a positive attitude. The most successful students are the ones that ask a lot of questions and stay involved. Learning to drive a truck or become and HVAC technician means getting hands-on while you’re here at school. The more you put in, the more you can get out.”
