Meet the Staff at our RI Trucking School

Jesse joined the NETTTS team in Pawtucket, RI back in 2013. If you’ve attended this trucking and HVAC school in the past few years there’s a pretty good chance you’ve spoken with him over the phone. He works in the Admissions scheduling department at our CDL training school and helps to answer questions for people who are looking to find out more about coming to our trucking school.

One thing about Jesse is that he always knew he wanted to work somewhere where he could make a difference. Somewhere where he could help people and that’s exactly what he’s found at New England Tractor Trailer Training School.

    Q&A with Jesse

Tell me about how you help people who are thinking about coming to trucking school
“I love being the first point of contact. I love that I get to shape the experience right at the beginning for people who are really looking for a change in their life and train for a CDL license.  This is because I feel like I’m making a real difference in that first 7-10 minute phone call. It’s such a small amount of time and that’s all it takes to take the first step and help make their dreams come true. Getting to do that is a real thrill.”

What do you like most about your job?
You really get to know someone at the beginning of their career training journey. It’s great to finally see them start attending the school. It’s a lot of fun when a student comes up to my office after starting school and we finally get to meet in person. I remember this one student who would come to our RI trucking school from Hull, MA and I knew from talking to him he really wanted this change. This guy was here every day–he never missed a day. I knew that if he could commit and get down here we could really help him and he did. And the day he graduated he came into my office and said, “Jesse, if you didn’t keep calling me, I wouldn’t have my CDL right now.” And that’s the thrill I still get.

Tell me the best advice anyones ever given you
“Stay true to yourself. No matter what happens, or where you go. No matter who you meet or what you do, you have to live with yourself. You have to be able to look at yourself in the mirror and that’s where happiness comes from.”

Give me 2 truths and a lie about yourself
    1. I’m originally from Brooklyn, NY, 2. I’m a marathon runner, 3. I’ve been married several times.”
