Staff Spotlight: N. Andover Director of Admissions, Greg Diamond

Meet Greg, Director of Admissions at our North Andover, MA campus. Greg is a veteran of the United States Air Force and continues to make a difference by helping people achieve their career training goals.

In 10 words or less, what’s a typical day like here?
“Powerful. Amazing. Engaging. Heartfelt. Productive. Motivational. Coffee. Enlightening. And at times, hectic.”

What do you like most about your role at NETTTS?
“Whether its students looking to learn to drive trucks, or coming to our HVAC technical school I get to play an important part in changing peoples lives. Whether its 1 person or 100 every day you make a difference and I really appreciate the close relationship that forms with students here.”

How do you help students that come here to succeed?
“I open their mind to the possibility that they are the main factor to their own success. You control your own destiny.”

Tell me two truths, and a lie about yourself.
“Let’s see, 1. I have three children, 2. I used to live in Montana, 3. I own a pair of fuzzy bunny slippers.”

What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten?
“It was Steve Jobs that said, “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma–which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice,” and I tell that to all incoming students.

Working with Greg has been a joy but I really can’t use that terminology. At NETTTS I don’t really “work”. If you love what you do and enjoy doing it you’ll never work doing it. I have never met someone as dedicated to the students and their situations as Greg is. The student actually does comes first in his eyes. It has been my privilege and honor to call Greg a coworker and a friend.
