Somers Career Day a huge success!

On Wednesday, October 12, 2011 NETTTS in Somers Hosted a Career Day. 16 companies that hire drivers joined us to meet recent & experienced graduates, and to talk to students.

When you first arrived, there was a Bozzutos Truck, and Trans Am, with a tent to the right filled with people! Beyond the Trans Am truck were more trucks! B H Webster Trucking, Dominos Distribution, Diesel Direct fleet fueling services, and an independent company with a Burris Logistics trailer.

Jonathan Lasko came to represent J Polep of Chicopee, MA. They also have several other locations, in lower Connecticut and in MA, out towards Boston.

Dominos Distribution Center of East Granby, CT, with Rich Roberts.

Ray Nolan who has been a driver for Trans Am for over 10 years scheduled his deliveries so he could share a few hours with NETTTS.

William Traverso-Cortes, driver for Diesel Direct, Class 10/15/01 from NETTTS, and below, with Rick Grover and Paul Owens, Area Supervisor for South Windsor.

Melinda Jermison from Martin-Brower Human Resources with Jason Monahan & Nate Miller from A Duie Pyle, they have locations in Southington, CT and Westfield, MA.

Susan from Schneider National, and Frank Sinclair. John Cole (bottom) from Superior Carriers in Springfield MA brought a multimedia display!

Sonja Bell from Fedex Ground, recruiting for seasonal delivery positions, and Rich Zitelli hoping to help the Fedex Subcontractors find experienced graduates with doubles endorsements for regional work. Nancy Perkins (bottom) recruiter for Swift, had a packed table!

Adam McCarty from Bozzutos had a distinctive presence with the big red Kenworth Truck!

Patrick O’Connor and Mike Daniels from B H Webster Trucking, locations in Windsor Locks, CT, Westfield MA and Hatfield, MA.

Tammy Brooks from Optimum Staffing brought her safety director Steve (in the striped shirt next to her) Driver David Breau NETTTS Class 3/20/04 who works for them, drove up with a Burris Logistics refrigerated “Reefer” trailer to show off.
